after 4 votes, we have 19 years or more of combined experience. that's great.

As of November 2018, we have more than 33 years of GIMP Experience on GL forum.

When I joined this forum I should have had a week or two that had downloaded the Gimp. I had already had a little experience with Gimp some 5 or 6 years ago (or more), but so much time without messing with the editor and practically forgot what little I knew.

More than 5 but that doesn't mean I'm any good at it.
I think I have socks more than 5 years.

Wow, a little over a year now. I joined here in December 2018, although I may have started with GIMP a month or two earlier, no more than that. I've come a long way since the beginning, but I'm still very much a novice, always trying to figure out how to mimic what I see elsewhere. My primary use is for scrapbooking and making digital papers and other components. My latest "kick" is making my own patterns that I can recolor, resize, emboss, etc. to make background papers. I'm hand-editing (pixel by pixel!) some shapes to use for my patterns. I'm also on a quest to figure out how to make realistic-looking glitter (ideally I would like to turn it into a filter or plugin).
GIMP Learn rocks...

The longer one uses gimp the more they learn.
I've been using gimp from nearly it's inception and I continue learning.
Keep up the good work and enjoy!

Aout 12 years and still learning
