Playing with Doll Face

Playing with Doll Face
It seemed like a lot of fun not to be experienced.
I followed AnMal's tutorial on Gimpchat, and after struggling to understand the tutorial, finally came up with something close to what I think should be the expected result. I realized that I should have selected a higher resolution image.

@Krikor I wanted to try it too.
Still a lot that can be improved and much more detailed finishing.
But it was something completely different from what I'm used to do.

@Ella, your model looked better with the balloon head
I find the eyes one of the tricky parts. So I opted to try other ways to change the eyes.
I found that you can use:
Scale Tool, Whirl and Pinch, Lens Distortion and Warp Transform.
Using Tim's script; Random Face, I found models ready to play.
Below is just the first part of the tutorial, using Lens Distortion in the eyes of one image and Warp Tool in the other image.
I feel that as I play with the tutorial steps, I feel more comfortable adapting my own editing mode to the images. @tim, with Anmal's tutorial the process becomes reproducible within a pattern, halfway through playing with caricartures.
In these results I did not apply any mask, I used G'MIC blend seamless

Hi @@Pat625, it's a fun process. There is also a video tutorial on youtube, for those who don't like reading a lot.

Krikor, thanks for your explanation. Yes, the eyes are the tricky part.
Good job on the boy.
Tim, Pat and Issabella, thank you for your comment.

I couldn't find I-warp tool in GIMP 2.10 so I had to manually transform the eyes and nose....it's hard. I tried.
aka Tin
Tin, in 2.10.X lwarp is in the tool box and not with the filters anymore.
